The Crop Master - a tribute to the Fujifilm GFX50R
As announced in the last blog entry I have ordered the GFX100S, which will hopefully be delivered at the beginning of March. I've been working with the GFX50R for over two years - now my GFX50R has found a new happy owner. Time for a tribute to the medium format Crop Master. In February 2019 I was in Namibia for a month where we volunteered for two weeks in Naankuse, in an animal project. In the third and fourth week we travelled north to Etosha. Among other things, the following pictures were taken with the Fujifilm GFX50R. These examples show impressive the potential of Fujifilm's high-resolution medium format - a large reserve for cropping. The original RAW images are even larger, the following examples already contain the 2nd (left) and 3rd crop (right)!
Note: Unfortunately Squarespace compresses the images a little bit, in Lightroom the images are even sharper.
