The Bokeh Painter - Sony FE 400mm F2,8 GM OSS
There are some Sony fixed focal lengths that are already legendary, such as the 135mm f/1.8 GM or the new 50mm f/1.2 GM. In my opinion, the Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS pushes into completely new spheres. I am a Sony Alpha user from the very beginning and I have used several fixed focal lengths. But for wildlife, apart from the 600mm f/4.0, only the Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS is the measure of all things. It paints the subject into the landscape with a 3D pop like no other Sony lens. The only zoom lens that also shows a very special shooting performance is the Sony FE 100-400 GM OSS. That's why I've been using only these two lenses since this year, sometimes also the new FE 70-200 f/2.8 OSS Mark 2. The Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS was used for the first time this year in Botswana in May/June 2022.
