TTArtisan vintage manual lenses - The holy trinity for the Fujifilm X-Series

TTArtisan has only been around since 2019, but in those two years they've created quite a buzz with their affordable, manual fixed-focus lenses. At first there were only M-mount lenses, but in the meantime there are also APS-C lenses with a mount for Fujifilm X-series cameras. I took a closer look at the three small lenses with focal lengths of 17mm, 35mm and 50mm. Mind you - these three fast lenses cost less than 250 USD - together! My expectations were therefore not very high - but I was proved wrong. The Chinese can also deliver quality! But let's take things one step at a time.

A portable portrait-length prime, the FUJIFILM X-mount 50mm f/1.2 Lens from TTArtisan blends its versatile short-tele focal length with an exceptionally fast f/1.2 maximum aperture. This bright design offers impressive control over depth of field, for isolating subject matter, as well as for enhanced low-light performance. Beyond speed, the lens uses a Sonnar optical design, which prioritizes sharpness and low distortion for clear and accurate rendering. Also, the 50mm f/1.2 has a manual focus design, capable of focusing as close as 1.6' away, and a 10-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth bokeh quality.

Sleek and stylish, the FUJIFILM X-mount 35mm f/1.4 Lens from TTArtisan is a compact long-normal prime characterized by its fast design and intuitive handling. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture offers great control over depth of field and also benefits working in low-light conditions. The lens uses a Sonnar optical design, which prioritizes sharpness and low distortion for clear and accurate rendering. Also, the lens's petit form factor features a durable black anodized finish with a stylized engraving on the lens barrel of the optical design.

Although this is only a short test, I can already say: You can't go wrong with these prime lenses from TTArtisan at this price - and manual focusing is much more fun anyway!
