Too artificial - The iPhone 11 Pro
As an ambitious photographer, I am always sceptical about the positive comments of the iPhone's camera. I currently have an iPhone 11 Pro, which is not the latest model. I take photos with the iPhone rather seldom. This may be OK for the occasional photo snapper, but I have other demands.It starts with the fact that the files cannot be taken in RAW, only HEIC (the iPhone 12 Pro Max can do that now). Today, during a winter hike in the Prättigau mountains, I made an effort and only took photos with the iPhone 11 Pro. The result is just not satisfactory for me, even after processing with Lightroom CC - the pictures just look too artificial - Full stop. And it's also clear why: the physics of the small lenses simply can't capture as much light, etc. as large lenses on full-frame cameras. The deficit is simply extrapolated by software, but see for yourself:
