Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 - The bokeh painter

Although the Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 has been on the market for six years now, in my opinion, there is no better lens in the portrait class that renders colors and bokeh as perfectly as the XF 56mm f/1.2 does. And that it is not only suitable for portraits is self-explanatory. Beside the XF 35 f 1.4. it is the second lens from Fuji in the XF series that has a very special “something” in the image.

With other lenses you see nice round bokeh rings, but with the XF 56 f 1.2mm you see more like hand-painted backgrounds, like in classical painting. The pictures appear three-dimensional with lots of pop. This is especially obvious in the last two examples below. And b.t.w., we are talking about APS-C and not full frame.

The following pictures are taken with Fujifilm X-Pro 3 and Fujinon XF 56mm, all with f/1.2.

Do you also work with the XF 56mm f/1.2 or do you even use the APD version? Your opinion interests me.
