The Engadin - First signs of winter coming

The Engadin (possibly derived from En, the Rhaeto-Romanic name of the river Inn) is a high valley in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is one of the highest inhabited valleys in Europe and more than 80 km long. It forms the upper valley stage of the Inn River and is divided into the Upper and Lower Engadine.

The border between the two sections of the mountain valley is marked by the stream Ova da Punt Ota, which flows into the Inn from the left between Cinuos-chel (fraction of the municipality of S-chanf) and Brail (fraction of the municipality of Zernez). The landmark is the Punt Ota, which crosses the stream above the mouth.

Samedan

Describe Samedan in one word? Difficult. Too many characteristics come to mind even during a quick brainstorming session: sunny, located at the highest airfield in Europe, historical, sporty ... and of course: "centrel"! This Romansh word alone encompasses numerous advantages of Samedan: because thanks to its central location, Samedan is the hub of public transport par excellence and thus the optimal starting point for activities throughout the valley.
